Learn how to transfer part of your private equity holdings from one portfolio to another in MProfit.
This step-by-step guide will help you move only the quantity you want, instead of all units, between portfolios.
Step 1: Find the XYZ Limited asset in Mr. D. Gupta’s portfolio. Click the down arrow next to this asset.
Step 2: Click Advanced and select the option to transfer the asset to another portfolio.
Step 3: Set the Date of Transfer. In this example, pick September 1, 2025.
Step 4: In the To Portfolio dropdown,
select the destination portfolio where you want to transfer the partial quantity.
Step 5: Choose Mr. A. Mehta's Dhan portfolio as the destination.
Step 6: Click in the quantity field
and enter the number of units to transfer. For instance, transfer 150 out of 650 units.
Step 7: Click Save.
Step 8: When the confirmation window appears, click Yes.
Step 9: See that the quantity for XYZ Limited in Mr. D. Gupta’s portfolio is now 500 units (reduced from 650).
Step 10: Switch to Mr. A. Mehta's Dhan portfolio
to confirm that 150 units of XYZ Limited have been added.
