How to import ESOP transactions in MProfit?

In this tutorial, we will explain how to manage Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) in MProfit


ESOPs are shares purchased by an employee from their own company, and they're tracked under the private equity section in MProfit.


Follow the steps below:


Step 1: Login to your MProfit account and click the (+) sign.

Step 2: Select Add Transaction from the drop-down list.

Step 3: Type Private Equity in the Asset Class field.

Step 4: Then click Select.

Step 5: For the Trans. Type, select the Buy option from the drop-down list.

Step 6: Now, click on the (+) sign to add the Asset Name.

Step 7: Select the checkbox beside New Asset.


Then, enter the asset name.

Step 8: Enter the Ref No of the company.

Step 9: To add the name of the Company, click the (+) sign.

Step 10: Enter the company's name and click Save.

Step 11: Click Save again.

Step 12: In the next window, Specify the Date, Quantity, and Amount.

Step 13: In the Narration field, add any additional information if needed.


Then click Save.

Setting the current value of your ESOPs:


Step 1: On the MProfit summary screen, right-click on the desired ESOP.

Step 2: Select Set Current Price from the drop-down list.

Step 3: To set the current price manually, click the checkbox.

Step 4: Now enter the Effective Date and the Current Price.

Step 5: Finally, click Save.
