In this tutorial, you'll learn how to use the MProfit Stock in Trade feature to automate the year-end process of valuing your shareholding.

Step 1: Start by generating the historical valuation report for your selected portfolio. Navigate to the

Reports section. In the Performance section, find the

Historical Valuation option. For this demonstration, we're selecting

Stocks and ETFs with the date as of the last financial year-end date, March 31, 2025. Click on

Generate Report. After the report is generated, click on

Download Excel to download the Excel sheet. Close the

Report section and proceed to the

Import option at the top.

Step 2: In the Import section, click on the search icon next to the Import log.

Type "MProfit Stock in Trade" to find the MProfit Stock and Trade template.

Select it and download the sample Excel sheet. After downloading, click on

Add to favorite and open the Excel sheet. The Notes sheet contains the entire procedure for your reference.

Step 3: Open the Historical Valuation report. Select the entire report, copy it, and paste it into the MProfit Stock and Trade template's Historical Valuation Report section.

The Import sheet will auto-populate with all the transactions. After this process, click on

Save to save the Excel sheet. Close the sheet when you're done.

Step 4: Back in the MProfit page, select the MProfit Stock and Trade template and click on

Upload file. Select the

Excel sheet and click on Open and import.

You'll be asked for Family and Portfolio mapping. Click

here to select the

Family. For the portfolio, click

here, select the

portfolio and click on

Save. You'll see a preview of all the transactions. Confirm the import to complete the process.

Step 5: Click on Back to Portfolio

You'll now see changes in various reports like the Stock Register Report and Historical Valuation report. To understand the changes, generate the Historical Valuation Report.

Click on Reports.

In the performance section, select Historical Valuation.
