Get your historical equity trades from HDFC Securities

To properly track your stock portfolio in MProfit, you will first need to import your historical transactions. (Please note that only importing stock holdings will not provide you XIRR and P/L insights. You need to import your historical trades.

The good news is that if you are an HDFC Securities customer, you can download your Trade Details statement from your online HDFC login and directly import this file to MProfit.

Follow the guide below to learn how to request your trade file from HDFC Securities and import it to MProfit:


Step 1:  Login online to the HDFC Securities portal

  • Open your web browser and navigate to the HDFC Securities broker login page.

  • Enter your login credentials (username and password) to access your account.


Step 2: Navigate to Trade Details

  • After logging in, you will be redirected to your account dashboard.

  • Look for the Reports section in the navigation menu and click on it.

  • Under Equity Reportslocate and select Trade Details.

Step 3: Generate the Trade Details report

  • In the Trade Details section, specify the date range for which you wish to generate the report. You can download this report year-wise.

  • Leave the Exchange and Settlement Type fields unchanged (ALL) and Script ID blank.

  • Click on View Report.


Step 4: Exporting your Trade Details report to Excel

  • Once the report is generated, you will see the equity transaction details for the specified period.

  • Click on the Export to Excel button to download the report in Excel format.


Step 5: Navigate to MProfit

  • Login to your MProfit account at https://cloud.mprofit.in

  • Once logged in, look for the Import section in the navigation menu and click on it.


Step 6: Select the HDFC Trade Details template

  • In the Import window, select the Quick Search option as shown in the screen below.

  • Search for HDFC Securities Trade Details template.

  • Select the Stocks (EQ) template from the search results (HDFC Securities Trade Details Statement - EQ).

  • Click on Add to Favourites to add the template to your favourites list.


Step 7: Upload the HDFC Trade Details report to MProfit

  • From your Favourites list, select the HDFC Securities Trade Details template that you just added.

  • Click on Upload File to browse and select the Excel file you downloaded from the HDFC Securities portal.

  • Confirm the selection and click the Import button to proceed with the file upload.

Step 8: Finalizing the Import Process

  • Review the imported data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • If the imported file contains valid transactions, your HDFC equity trades will be successfully imported to MProfit.

  • You have now imported your historical equity trades from HDFC to MProfit. The next step would be to ensure that your ongoing trades stay updated in MProfit.

  • To enable this, MProfit allows you to set up a simple forwarding rule in your email inbox to forward your daily HDFC contract note to MProfit on a regular basis.
