In this tutorial, we will explain how you can compute Total Gain value and % in XIRR reports MProfit.

Follow the step-by-step guide below:

Step 1:  Login to your MProfit account and select your desired AIF fund.

Here, we have taken Artelia Capital Fund I- Scheme II as an example.

Step 2: In the next window, keep the Period as All To Date from the drop-down list.

Step 3:

  1. Initial investment made on March 6, 2020, was ₹1,00,000.

  2. On March 16, 2022, there was a withdrawal of ₹40,000.

  3. On January 17, 2024, an interest payout of ₹10,000 was received.

  4. The closing value is ₹60,000, and the manually kept current value is ₹75,000.

  5. Calculate the total gain using the formula: Total investment - Current value. Total investment = ₹1,00,000, Current value = ₹75,000. Total gain = ₹1,00,000 - ₹75,000 = ₹25,000.

  6. Calculate the total gain percentage using the formula: (Total gain / Total investment)  100. Total gain = ₹25,000, Total investment = ₹1,00,000. Total gain percentage = (₹25,000 / ₹1,00,000)  100 = 25%.

  7. Verification: Check the Reports tab for accuracy.
