How can I manage capital reduction in MProfit?

In this tutorial, we will explain how you can manage capital reduction in MProfit


This is particularly useful when there's a change in the amount invested or the number of shares held. For instance, if the Bank of Maharashtra reduces its capital amount, this guide will help record that change.


Follow the steps below:


Recording Capital Reduction in Terms of Amount


Step 1: Login to your MProfit account and right-click the asset.

Step 2: Navigate Other Transactions from the drop-down list. 


Then select  Add Demerger option.

Step 3: Choose the Date of the capital reduction.


Keep the original Quantity and make changes to the Total Amount by clicking on it.

Step 4: Click on Save.

Step 5: A form validation error will appear. Click Ignore.

Recording Capital Reduction in Terms of Shares


Step 1: Right-click on the asset.

Step 2:  Navigate to Other Transactions from the drop-down list.


Then select Add Split.

Step 3: Specify the Date of the capital reduction.


The Balance Quantity before Split is displayed. 


Enter the Balance Quantity after Split.

Step 4: Click on Save.
