In this tutorial, we will explain how you can manage segregated portfolio funds in MProfit.
At times, certain Mutual Funds are required to create segregated portfolios for unrated debt in case of default.
Please note that entries for segregated portfolios of Mutual Funds should not be directly imported from your CAS statement. You will need MProfit to accurately compute capital gains for such funds.
In such cases, you will be required to make a demerger entry for the affected mutual fund in your MProfit portfolio. Here's how:
Step 1: Login to your MProfit account and right-click on the desired mutual fund scheme.
Step 2: Select Other Transactions from the drop-down list.
Then select Add Fund Demerger.
Step 3: Enter the Date of the transaction.
Then click the (+) sign to add the segregated fund.
Step 4: Enter the asset name and select it from the drop-down list.
Step 5: Mention the Folio Number.
Step 6: Click Save.
Step 7: Now, navigate to Add Row.
Step 8: Enter and select the mutual fund from the drop-down list.
Step 9: Keep the Quantity the same, but ensure that the Total Amount is zero.
Step 10: Finally, click Save.
This is how you can seamlessly manage segregated portfolio funds in MProfit!
