To enter a share buyback entry in MProfit, please follow the process below:
1) On your MProfit portfolio summary screen, right-click on Stocks in the asset bar.
2) Next, select Add Off-market Transaction (IPO, Part Payment, Op. Bal, Buyback).
3) In the next screen, select Buyback in the Trans. Type dropdown, fill all required details and click Save.
Please note that Buybacks after 05-Jul-19 will not have capital gains implications for investors, and therefore will not appear in Capital Gain reports.
However, if you would like to see details of your buyback transactions & gain / loss for the same, MProfit does provide a customisation option in the Capital Gain reports to view only Buyback details.
