How can I pass an entry for stocks given as gifts in MProfit?

In this tutorial, we will explain how you can pass an entry for stocks given as gifts in MProfit.


Step 1: For this portfolio, Mr. B Gupta has gifted Allcargo Logistics to Mr. C Gupta. 


In that case, if the portfolio is present in MProfit, you need to right-click on the asset in the main portfolio from which you will be gifting the shares.

Step 2: Select Advanced from the drop-down list.


Then select Transfer Asset to another Portfolio.

Step 3: Mention the Date of transfer.

Step 4: Select to which Portfolio you wish to transfer the gift from the drop-down list.

Step 5:  Enter the Quantity of shares to be transferred.

Step 6: Finally, click Save.


Image


Step 7: A confirmation prompt will appear. Click Yes.

Step 8: As you can see in the image, we have given 10 shares to Mr. C. Gupta, so the shares from 25 has reduced to 15.

Step 9: If you need to transfer a gift entry to a portfolio that is not currently in MProfit.


Right-click on the asset.

Step 10: Select Advanced from the drop-down list.


Then select Transfer Asset to another Portfolio.

Step 11: Mention the Date of transfer. 


Then select the Portfolio to which you want to transfer as Other / Gift.

Step 12: Enter the Quantity of shares to be transferred.

Step 13: Then click Save

Step 14: A confirmation prompt will appear. Click Yes.
