In this tutorial, we will explain how you can record newly listed Initial Public Offerings (IPO) transactions in MProfit.
These transactions are usually not listed in the contract notes received from your broker, so you need to add them separately in MProfit as off-market transactions.
Follow the step-by-step guide below to learn how to do it easily.
Step 1: Log in to your MProfit account, navigate to the Stocks option on your summary screen, and then right-click on it.
Step 2: Select Add Off-Market Transaction option from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: In the next window, choose the transaction type as IPO/Rights Issue.
Step 4: Enter the Asset Name by clicking the plus icon (+).
Step 5: Select the desired asset name from the list that appears.
Step 6: Click Save.
Step 7: Enter the details such as Date, Quantity and Price.
Click on the amount field to automatically calculate the total cost of the transaction.
Step 8: Click Save to record the IPO transaction.
Step 9: If you wish to add an entry for part payment of the IPO.
Click Transaction Type and select Installment Payment from the dropdown list.
Step 10: Enter the Date of the installment payment, and mention the Amount paid.
Then click Save.
This is how you can seamlessly add off-market transaction/IPO/ installment payment in MProfit!
