Manual Entries and Importing International Assets to MProfit

In this article, you'll learn how to manage your international assets in MProfit. 


Step 1: Start by clicking on the plus icon.


Step 2: Navigate to Add International Portfolio.


Step 3: Enter the name of the portfolio and select USD from the currency dropdown.


Step 4: Click on Save.


Now, you've created your international portfolio. If you wish to manually add transactions, follow the steps below.


Step 5: Right-click on stocks and ETFs.

Step 6: Go to Add Transaction.

Step 7: Choose the transaction type from the dropdown. For Asset name, type the name of the asset, select the asset, and enter the date of transaction, quantity, rate, and commission if applicable.

Step 8: Click on Save.

You've now manually added a transaction. You can also import statements from various brokers, similar to how you manage Indian investments.



Step 9: Click on the Import option.

Step 10: Click on the Search icon.

Step 11: For this tutorial, select Interactive Brokers. You'll see the Interactive Brokers International Stocks template. Select it and click Add to Favorites.

Step 12: Go to Upload file, select the file, click on Open and import.

Step 13: You'll be asked for family and portfolio mapping. For family, select from the dropdown.

Step 14: For portfolio, select from the dropdown.

Step 15: Click on Save.

Step 16: You'll be asked for broker mapping. Click on Map, type the name of the broker, add the item, and click on Save.

Step 17: Click on Save again.

Step 18: Click on Continue.

The importing process is now complete. Click on Back to Portfolio to view the imported data.

Lastly, if you want to apply corporate actions, you'll need to do it manually.


Step 19: Click the down arrow for the asset, go to Other transactions. Here, you'll find a list of various corporate actions that you can apply as per your requirement.


And that's it! You've now learned how to manage your international assets in MProfit.
