In this tutorial, we will explain how you can add a Mutual Fund Write-Off entry in MProfit.
Follow the steps below:
Step 1: In the MProfit portfolio summary screen, right-click on the mutual fund that you need to add a Write-Off entry.
Step 2: In the dropdown list, select Other Transactions.
Step 3: Next, select Write-Off Asset.
Step 4: In the following window, enter the Date and click Save.
This feature is especially useful when a company is dissolved.
As a result, you no longer hold shares of this company, so you have no capital loss in the capital gains report.
After the write-off, you might also notice that the XIRR for this asset is shown as negative due to the dissolution.
This is how you can seamlessly add a Mutual Fund Write-Off entry in MProfit!
