How can I link Equity and F&O template to import a common contract note in MProfit?

In this tutorial, we will explain how you can link Equity and F&O template to import a common contract note in MProfit.

This feature is especially useful when brokers provide equity and F&O (Futures and Options) trades in one contract note. 

Instead of importing the contract note twice with separate templates for equity and F&O, MProfit allows linking both templates together. 

This captures all trades for a specific group in one go.

Start by ensuring that both the equity and F&O templates (or any other required templates) are in the favourites list.

For example, Zerodha's daily contract note combines equity and F&O trades in one statement.

Step 1: Select the equity template. 

Step 2: Click on the ( i ) icon for the selected template.

Step 3: Click on the link icon.

Step 4: For Linked Template 1, select Zerodha - Daily Email CN (F&O PDF) - Latest.

Step 5: Click Save.

From now on, when importing a contract note from scratch, all equity and F&O trades will be captured simultaneously.

In cases where only equity trades are included in the contract note, enable the "clear blank imports" option.

This option allows only the equity trades to be considered and disregards the F&O trades at that time.

Step 6: To save these settings, click Save again.
