1. Login to MProfit and click Import on the top-right
Login to MProfit at https://cloud.mprofit.in on a web browser and click the Import button at the top-right of the screen.

For example, if you want to import a Kotak Securities contract note, search for "Kotak Securities".
You can search either by Template or by Broker.

Once you find the template you are looking for, click into it. This opens the Template Information window.
Review the template information and then click the Add to My Templates button.
Please note that by default, MProfit selects the latest version of any template. If you are importing older files, you might need to select an older Template Version that matches your file.
4. Under My Templates, select your template
Under the My Templates section, select the template you just added.
The selected template will now be assigned as your current template.
5. Upload your file in the file drop zone
Next, upload your file in the file drop zone and click the Import button.

6. Set portfolio mappings (ONE TIME STEP)
If this is the first time you are importing this file to MProfit, you will now be directed to the Portfolio Mapping step.
This is a ONE TIME STEP that allows you to map data from your file to your MProfit portfolios.
Map every name in your file to a corresponding portfolio in MProfit.
Once complete, MProfit will retain your portfolio mappings for future imports with this template.

7. Set broker and asset mappings
Broker mapping (ONE TIME STEP, for Stocks only):
If this is the first time you are importing a Stock transaction file, you can create a broker entity in MProfit for this file.

Asset mapping (ONE TIME STEP, for unmapped assets only):
If your file does not contain proper mapping details (BSE Code / NSE Code / ISIN), you can map assets with their corresponding MProfit names (as shown in the screenshot below).
MProfit will retain your asset mappings for future imports with this template.
8. Preview and complete Import
After the mappings are complete, you can preview your transactions for verification. Once you have verified your imported transactions, click Import Selected Records.
9. View your updated portfolios
Your data is now imported. Click Back to Portfolio to view your updated MProfit portfolios.
